EVENT COORDINATOR
At Compass Outdoor Adventures we have fun and get people to laugh and enjoy themselves. We’re pros at logistics, adventure, and team building through active, engaging experiences. The Event Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and executing corporate events.
Partnering with the Sales team, they are the main point of contact for booking corporate events. They have a keen eye for hospitality and understand the need to go above and beyond for special events and create memorable moments for Guests. They are detail oriented and are diligent to ensure every aspect of the Compass experience is exceptional, starting with the planning all the way through the execution of the event.
The Deets (what you'll be expected to do in the job)
Has a passion for leading team building events and the hospitality industry
Maintains pro-active and constant communication with the Customer to ensure fantastic results.
Clearly communicates with stakeholders on event information, contact information, event decisions, payment information
Ensures smooth and timely prep, set up and tear down of event
Acts as primary point of contact once the event is booked
Ensure the Lead Guide is setup for success on event day, ensure staffing and equipment needs meet event expectations.
Maintains, organizes, and prepares event tools and games
Attends applicable planning meetings with Compass team members and other relevant parties
Run registration reports and event reports and light analysis
Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Experience supporting events planning and execution
Comfortable being self-directed in fast paced environments with a small team
Love for the outdoors and excitement for team building
Communicate with Guests and engage in small talk during events
Maintain a professional experience and uphold Compass standards
Positive attitude and a knack for problem-solving on the fly
Familiar with Google Suite - Gmail, GCal, GDrive, GDocs, GSheets, etc
Experience working with Xola, other database management/registration systems, or a strong desire to learn
SUMMER CAMP GUIDES
Looking for two more summer camp guides to join our returning staff to help kids get outside, active, and most importantly, engaged.
Position Responsibilities
The Summer Camp Guides play a key role in the daily operations of Compass Outdoor Adventures’ Summer Camp programs. Working closely with the Summer Camp Lead, this position will ensure successful and positive camp experiences for all campers and families.
Lead a group of summer camp kids safely in a variety of camp activities and adventures.
Enthusiasm for the outdoors, adventure and exploring new things thru the lens of our campers.
Follow daily adventure plans provided by the Camp Program Lead.
Actively engage and interact with campers providing coaching, and positive encouragement.
Collaborate with other counselors to ensure a fun, safe and enjoyable experience
Works within the planned schedule of daily activities for camp participants.
Plan and participate in a variety of camp activities such as games, songs, sports, skits, and special events.
Be attentive to campers' needs, always ensuring their well-being and safety.
Ensures the cleanliness of the site, equipment, and vehicle fleet.
Assists in maintaining accurate program records, including incident reports, logbook documentation, and daily attendance.
Knows and understands all emergency procedures associated with the camp program.
Knows, enforces, and follows all safety guidelines associated with the camp program, including always knowing the whereabouts of your campers.
Compensation and Benefits
Full-time; seasonal, June - August
Pay range: $18 - $22/hour; dependent on experience
Sick time accrual; access to outdoor industry pro-deals; discount on food/beverage at South Fork North Bend

Requirements
18+ years of age
Reliable mode of transportation
Successful Background Check
First Aid and CPR required within the first 30 days
Clean Driver's License
Coaching / Guiding experience a plus
Higher Education a plus
Navigation skills and knowledge of local trail-systems
High energy and engagement
Previous experience working with kids a huge plus
Educational background in teaching a huge plus
Ability to lift 50+ pounds (you'll be lugging bikes and gear all the time)
